The objective :
‍This new accommodation for the largest bank in the Netherlands is all about openness, connectivity, empowerment and well-being. In addition to the entire interior, HofmanDujardin designed the dynamic, floating platforms and stairs that intersect the two spacious atria in the heart of the building. The wooden platforms symbolize the identity of the 21st century bank as a digital platform. The architectural design by Benthem Crouwel Architects has a strong focus on transparency, connectivity and collaboration. 

The realisation :
‍On the lively ground floor you can visit the garden café, coffee bars, food court, event halls or take a seat at one of the various informal work and meeting places. The layered range of environments matches the variety of individual needs of a large bank's staff.
All places have a human dimension and carry their own qualities and atmosphere, while everything is harmonious and connected. The expressive platforms are based on the intuitive wellbeing of people around them. They form grounded spaces and create physical and visual connections that naturally encourage ING employees to work together. The sculptural platforms are visible throughout the atria and also give them landmarks and encourage staying healthy by taking stairs instead of lifts.
